I was looking at my DVD Aficionado and around this time last year I had well over 500 DVD’s, now I have 270, wow.
I feel like I was very impulsive at the time, 2010 and 2011, I was constantly researching and looking on the web at sites like Eccentric Cinema, writing down titles in a little memo pad I had, and then looking for them on amazon and “buy, sell, trade” stores.
It all really started when I got my wisdom teeth out, I was off of work for 3 or 4 day’s and spent pretty much all that time on the aforementioned Eccentric Cinema, and then the mission to amass these films started. Unfortunately, a lot of them weren’t that great, or had no real re-watch value to them, hell some I never even popped in to watch.
Eventually I decided to pack many of them up, along with older versions of movies I had updated, I did this about 3 different times, and take them to work for two of the guy’s there to go through. Nothing was ever left.
I try to be a little more hesitant with my purchases now. I think I’m just picky, or just like a very select few genres.
